This popular style of robotics system can be fitted with multiple robots and is suitable for longer thinner components which may also require manipulation to allow weld access. The front to back flip over style end-changer takes up less floor space than a turntable style robotics system and allows the robots to be mounted closer to the fixture for better weld access. The disadvantage of this style of cell is that to optimise loading ergonomics the welding (and hence programming) position is often elevated.
